Non Discrimination Policy
• The Upper Valley Turning Point does not discriminate because of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, mental health status, real or perceived HIV or hepatitis C status, sexual orientation, marital status, or military status.

• We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for people in recovery, those seeking recovery, supporters, visitors, volunteers and staff.
• We respect and recognize the individuality of each person and believe everyone can recover to live rich, full lives.
• We recognize that there are many paths to recovery, and we welcome inquiries from recovery groups of all types.
• We expect all who visit the Upper Valley Turning Point to treat one another respectfully in word and deed.
Code of Conduct
• Treat others with respect. Being with people, especially those in the recovery community, can sometimes be a challenge. While we cannot change the behavior of others, we can make changes in our own attitudes and behaviors and be a positive role model.
• Keep Confidences. Be the keeper of words shared in confidence or unintentionally overheard. Never share a person’s personal information with anyone else. Criticizing, judging, or discussing others in a negative way undermines our efforts to provide a safe and supportive atmosphere.

• Honor other’s journey. We can’t fix anyone. We are here to listen and to offer our own experience, strength, and hope, not to tell others what to do. If someone asks for feedback feel free togive it, but do not offer unsolicited advice.
• Conflicts of Interest. Use the Turning Point for its intended purpose, peer support recovery. If you are unsure if an activity is permissible (ie: selling goods for personal profit) ask staff.
• Protect your fellows. If you see behavior that is harmful to another person intervene if appropriate in a calm and direct way and/or report it to staff. Watch out for each other, particularlynewcomers and those who are vulnerable.
• Abide by the House Rules.
